Easy set up ( if you read directions) strongly made and perfect for keeping big pets out of areas pet cat needs access to. My big dog tried to force his way through gate without the success he had with former wooden gates.....he was stopped dead in his tracks! Price was reasonable also! Did not need extension for regular doorway. Easy to open and close for humans to walk through:)

I purchased this in the store after reading the reviews online. I was able to put it up in under 30 minutes. It really only takes about 10 minutes, but I tend to read through instructions really thoroughly. It would be a tad easier with two people, but it's still simple just by yourself (the extra pair of hands would just be helpful to hold it in place while you tighten the screws). The only tool needed is a small hex wrench that it comes with (and that's just for putting the main pieces together). I didn't use the included wall cups since I wasn't mounting it at stairs and it seemed tight enough with just the pressure mounting. If you take the time to read the instructions, you will notice it says on a couple of ocassions that it's normal for there to be a gap between the door and its latch while you're installing it. As soon as you make it tight enough, the gap goes away and the door closes fine. I have two Saint Bernards and the gate worked fine (although it's not like they were banging against or actively trying to break through). The only thing I found slightly annoying was the rattling sound the small gate made when I opened or closed the main gate. A small zip tie at the top and bottom took care of that. All in all, I think this product was worth the price I paid (BTW - be sure to check the store price against the online price... it was cheaper online but Walmart matched it no problem in the store)

Was a bit concerned with the gap, inspite of the documentation assuring me it would work. Well, they were right and it works great! Much better than the baby gate we were using. LOL Do wish the "small" cat door was smaller. I have big cats, but not that big and a small dog that loves cat food. So will take the advice of others and cut one of the cat door bars out. Then it will be kitty size. :) Came with an extension, and thought the wide door would use it, but didn't need it.

Very easy to install! Works great. We did not screw into the wall, just used the pressure part and it works perfectly. We can open the large gate and we go through with no problems and we leave the smaller pet gate open. We have 2 cats and a brittany spaniel. We needed the gate to keep our brittany spaniel out of the kitchen, but still allow our cats through the gate and this works perfect for that. Our brittany spaniel some how still managed to squeeze through the little pet door so we just tied a tight ribbon in the middle of the small pet door from top to bottom so she can no longer squeeze through yet our other pets can fit through. So keep in mind if you have a medium sized dog like our brittany spaniel they may still be able to squeeze through the small pet door, just tie a ribbon right in the center of the small pet door from the center top to center bottom like we did and they won't be able to.This pet gate works great, wish we had found it sooner!

We have two dogs that need to be apart when we are not home. They laugh at the little wooden "baby" gates. I wanted something that was functional yet wouldn't make our home look like a kennel.Theses were super easy to install. My husband took a nap and I had the two gates installed before he woke up. I did use the screws on the end caps since I was looking for A+ security.Like other reviews, I agree that the cat door is too large. Though my dogs cannot get through them, they can get their heads through them and this does not encourage them to respect the gate. We are removing one of the bars from the cat door and keeping it closed. Even with the modification this is the best product around.

We have four dogs and have tried every pet and baby gate on the market to keep them confined to the areas of our home without carpet. We bought two of these gates because we wanted all the humans to be able to go in and out easily... including our 2 year old. These gates are super easy to install, and work beautifully on both of the doorways. I didn't have to drill, screw or hammer anything. The first took about 10 minutes to install, and the second one about 5 since I knew exactly what to do by then. Very good quality for the money.WARNING....Do not buy this gate to keep children safe!!! Like I said, my 2 year old can easily open and shut it. But until our dogs grow opposable thumbs, this gate is the best one ever. And the price of each is CHEAP!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!
